Shipper / Receiver

Scope of the Position

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for checking all orders that have been picked for customers and making sure the order is properly packed and wrapped for shipment. They are also responsible for scheduling all shipments and ensuring that deliveries are done on time. They are also responsible for any other duties assigned to them by management.

Major Responsibilities

• Putting inventory away in its correct location
• Packing, wrapping and labelling products onto skids
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Picking orders for customers in a timely and efficient manner
• Checking stock on skids to ensure that the delivery is correct
• Make sure that incoming and outgoing products and materials are in good condition
• Pick up and Deliver various items and products
• Responsible for carrying out assigned housekeeping tasks
• Responsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by the management

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse
• Ability to map out a warehouse
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations
• Completion of high school
• Good health and physical strength, able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Accuracy in following instructions
