Scope of the Position

The Maintenance Associate will be responsible for performing upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. They will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional.

Major Responsibilities

  • Clean warehouse floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them
  • Perform minor repairs including clogged toilet repair
  • Remove waste and empty trash
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
  • Inspects facilities, systems and their components for the purpose of identifying necessary repairs.
  • Responds to other emergency situations (e.g. broken/clogged pipes/drains, faucets, gutters, sprinkler heads, grease traps, fixtures, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
