Human Resources Generalist

Scope of Position

Robertson is looking for an organized and self-driven individual to be the first point of contact for all HR-related employee matters. In this fast-paced environment, the HR Generalist will be hands-on in providing Human Resources support to all Robertson employees. The role is critical in executing HR initiatives and providing great internal customer support. 

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first point of contact for all employee-related matters
  • Administers and collaborates on the development of employee retention programs, succession planning, and reward programs
  • Facilitates and works closely with managers regarding disciplinary actions and termination proceedings.
  • Supports payroll, administers benefits and RRSP programs.
  • Works closely with managers on attendance management
  • Facilitates Leaves of Absence and supports the safe return to work programs
  • Coordinates training programs for all employees such as industry-related training, attendance management, health and safety, etc.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Recommends policy amendments and program development initiatives.
  • Provides guidance on employee matters and works with Managers to find appropriate solutions and adjustments to complaints.
  • Ensures that employee appraisal and review programs are administered, employee performance is evaluated, and ensuring employees are informed of their evaluation.
  • Handles employee investigations and maintains employee records, and files

 

Skills and Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience working in a Human Resources 
  • Must possess and maintain the highest degree of security and confidentiality of information.
  • Must have strong time management skills, follow through, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with all levels within the organization; ability to advise and influence
