Scope of the Position

Maintenance Associate will be responsible for performing upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. They will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.

Major Responsibilities

• Warehouse & office cleaner for head office and Wire & Cable division
• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
• Perform minor repairs
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
• Inspects facilities, systems and their components for the purpose of identifying necessary repairs.
• Responds to emergency situations (e.g. broken/clogged pipes/drains, faucets, gutters, sprinkler heads, grease traps, fixtures, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• General cleaning i.e. Warehouse, bathrooms, office, garbage disposal etc.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent
